A new study is claiming that having unprotected sex or giving oral sex makes women happier – a claim that will no doubt make men happier as well.

Researchers at the State University of New York were analysing the effects of semen properties, which showed that it contains mood-altering chemicals that fights depression (at least three anti-depressants including serotonin), enhances mood (oxycotin and estrone), increases affection (cortisol) and induces sleep (melatonin).

The Medical Daily, a US website, reported that the study tapped into an anonymous survey of 293 female students on the University of Albany campus, which found that women who had oral sex or unprotected sex were more contented than those who used protection.

The students also had to take a test that measured depressive symptoms clinically.

The results, which were published in the Archives of Sexual Behavior, found that sexually active women who never used condoms had fewer depressive symptoms than women who abstained from sex totally.

It also showed that very promiscuous women who used condoms were just as depressed as women who abstained from sex totally.

This led the researchers to suggest that semen, not sex, makes women happier.

Other studies done earlier had also recorded the effects of semen in a woman’s body: Women who have ejaculate in their system, by ingestion or vaginal absorption, have the ability to concentrate better and do relatively well at perceptive tasks.

Additionally, if a woman has regular unprotected sex with one partner, her reproductive system is able to detect semen from another man and prevent pregnancy from the “foreigner”. [Hmm, is this where beleaguered US politician Todd Akin (from the Republican Party) got his "legitimate rape" idea from?]

Finally, someone sent this obviously pro-Republican set of irreverant pics. Don't take them seriously, hor!...
