This local ad has been making an appearance:
I had thought it was pretty clever. But it is apparently not original. Here's the original, created in 1939 by the British government as a motivational poster as the prospect of war with Germany loomed:
It was the third in a series of three wartime-related posters. The British government went on to produce many other posters -- mostly to keep spirits up, or to warn against wastage or the divulging of information that may be useful to the enemy. The link below tells this story:

Not all the posters went down well, with the British public finding quite a few of them patronising. But this one deserves praise as an example of British wit at its best...
