MAD, and madder still...

This is a great headline; it's so apt for the story...

What's scary, at least during the Cold War era, is this remark by Mao Zedong:

Imagine Kim Jong Un saying: "If the worse came to the worse and half of Korea died, the other half would remain. Yankee lackeyism would be destroyed and the whole Korean peninsula would become socialist."

As it is, North Korea already has choice words to describe their southern brethren:

---------------------------------------------------------

I had earlier posted an item about April Fool's Day. This adds to it...

Finally, this headline...

...is a reminder that while you can find Singapore noodles elsewhere, you won't find it here in the Little Red Dot. And I believe that there is no such thing as Hainanese chicken rice in Hainan (at least not in the way that we prepare it here in Singapore and Malaysia). Many years ago, on a visit to Bandung, I asked a drinks stall there for... the bandung drink (iced rose syrup and condensed milk). The stall keeper looked at me like I was gila ("mad" in Bahasa Indonesia).

Mad? Ahem, that headline "MAD, and madder still" was mine.
