I still think Windows 8 is a stinker for those of us senior citizens who use non-touchscreen laptops, but some help has been found online, thanks to my wife's help. She found this...

The tips include:
* Use the spacebar to "unlock" the lock screen
* Windows + X = Start Menu
* Windows + Q = Apps
* Windows + F4 = Close
* Ctrl + Shift + Esc = Task Manager

Meanwhile, there's lots in the papers to highlight, starting with the death (April 8) of Mrs Margaret Thatcher aka "The Iron Lady". I remember closely following the 1982 Falklands War and the steely leadership she showed. Asked if she contemplated a British defeat, she replied: "Failure? The possibilities do not exist."
