One of Brady's ears looked swollen with blood. So we took him to the vet. Indeed, a blood vessel had burst and the condition is known as "aural haematoma".

Given Brady's old age, surgery is not the first option so the poor fella is all bandaged up, after the vet did a procedure to draw the blood out. Some swelling which has since returned has begun to subside. We are keeping a close watch...
Meanwhile, Killer had a close shave...
...literally. His fur was getting too shaggy. But he kept scratching around his throat area after the grooming, and a red patch appeared. Time to cap that activity...
Have you seen a moodier-looking dog? Make that two moody-looking dogs:
I also learnt, from checking the Internet, that what I call Killer's cone is actually called an Elizabethan collar. I don't think that pooch cares two woofs about such a Shakespearian connotation. "Out, out, damn (spoil)sport!" is all he wants now.

Since I'm on a doggy theme here, so does actress Mischa Barton, it seems...
But it's not what you think. The headline is a cleverly cheeky double entendre; it is in fact about her new line of doggy clothing. Maybe she will come up with a more stylo-milo Elizabethan collar for Killer!
I found this poster clever too...

Finally, have you heard about the dog with two, um...? I can't bring myself to say it, so I'll let this cartoon strip do it...
