Motochirikuarikatotofuarikiteku

ST's Life! section seems to be coming up with good headlines of late, like "Hunky glory" (in my blog entry on Oct 11). I like this one too, in today's edition (Oct 13):

But these recent ST headlines below fail to pass muster:

Even if the newsmaker had used the expression "spanner influence", does a headline quoting it help the ordinary reader grasp this newly invented and inelegant phrase? It is a clumsy attempt to give a twist to the idiom "to throw a spanner in the works". Nope, it does not work.

This other one is similarly clumsy. "Robbers... robbing (a vehicle)"...

A simple rejiggling makes it a snazzier headline: "Security van hijacked, looted, (then) set ablaze".

But enough of quibbling over headlines. Someone posted this online:

I found a similar one with two Ninjas peeping out!...

So, onthesannyside becomes motochirikuarikatotofuarikiteku.

Have fun with this template, on your name!
