Incredibly shrinking USA, Incredibly India, and a reprised Ode to Children's Day.

At a time when Chinese President Xi Jinping is making his presence felt in Southeast Asia (ie, the ASEAN region), US President Barack Obama is nowhere to be seen. The 10 member countries of ASEAN must now be rethinking their destinies and worrying if US isolationism from global affairs has already begun to, hopefully only glacially, creep in:


Note: The subhead above has since become outdated... Mr Obama has cancelled his attendance at those two summits, the APEC meeting and the East Asia summit.





Meanwhile, Mr Xi's "peaceful/charm offensive" continues apace...
