Strange/funny weekend sightings...

This is amazing. The headline writer seemed to have walked away without finishing his or her job. And nobody noticed the truncated work...


Yes, it is proper journalistic practice to use the labels "con man" or "con artist"  as shorthand for confidence trickster or scammer. It is also okay to say "conned" (someone was conned; he conned someone; a businessman admitted to having conned)...


But "conning" (as used in this context)?...


Even the well-regarded Washington Post has its slip-ups. "10,000 extra forces"?...
